Guided Tour - Church of La O
Introduction to the guided tour

Introduction to the guided tour

The Brotherhoods and Confraternities, repositories and transmitters of a very traditional faith, have been, throughout the centuries, a fertile nursery of the faithful from which the Church has been nourished, at the same time as they have often been her protectors and defenders.

This is the great contribution that the brotherhoods make to the transmission of the faith in our city since ancient times, as in the case of the Sacramental Archconfraternity of La O, whose origins date back to the end of the Middle Ages.

From then until the present day, our Brotherhood has been the repository of a rich and vast artistic and cultural heritage which, placed at the service of worship, has allowed us to establish a visual dialogue between man and Christ, who is the supreme Beauty.

The simple experience of encountering beauty that inspires admiration can open the way to the search for God and prepare the heart and mind for an encounter with Christ, the beauty of incarnate holiness offered by God to men for their salvation…”

From The Vía Pulchritudinis.  Benedict XVI.

The Sacramental Archconfraternity of La O offers the possibility of a guided tour of the main areas of its church and outbuildings. The visit will allow visitors to admire the splendour of the main altarpiece, the Sacramental Chapel with the Brotherhood’s treasury and the Chapter House, among others.

A unique and enriching experience that allows the visitor to have a clear and objective idea of the fundamental role that our Corporation has played throughout history and also in the present, where it carries out an important work of worship and evangelisation, from which derives an important charitable and social action, among which the “Esperanza y Vida (Hope and Life)” project stands out, which helps pregnant women in a situation of social vulnerability.

This audio guide service is free of charge, but we would like to ask you to support this project by making a voluntary financial contribution in the box below the QR code. You can also find other ways to contribute here.
