Altar of Our Lady of Good Counsel

The Virgin of Good Counsel is venerated at the head of the Gospel nave. A full-size image of the Virgin and Child, which arrived in the church of La O in 1868 from the Oratory of Saint Felipe Neri.

It has been attributed by various specialists to the work of a young Pedro Duque Cornejo. On its sides there are two academic-size angels, both from the aforementioned oratory and also related to the same sculptor.

On the wall next to the main altar there is an interesting painting, dated in the 18th century, which represents the Presentation of the Virgin in the Temple, following Matías de Arteaga’s model.
